Postpartum Support Circle

When we birth our children, we are born again too. We expand, unravel, soften, strengthen — becoming something different, something more. We know that chaos often precedes change. Yet in today’s world, many mothers find themselves navigating this profound transition feeling alone, overwhelmed, and judged.

While conversations around birth have grown louder, the postpartum period — and the woman at its centre — is often overlooked. Our traditional rituals were once designed to hold and protect her during this tender time. Now, without true support, she may feel stretched between the demands of biology and society, longing for a safe place to land.

At The Doula Collective, we have created a Postpartum Support Group to gently recreate that container — a space where women can be seen, heard, and witnessed as they move through this transformation. A circle of women, offering enough room for a mother to expand without feeling scattered.

We host live weekly online gatherings designed to be warm, welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgmental. These groups are free and open to all mothers, and are facilitated by trained doulas from our professional community.

Our doulas — compassionate support-givers and often mothers themselves — are skilled in holding space with sensitivity and care. This is a peer support circle; it is not therapy or medical treatment, but a space for shared experience and gentle holding.

Our intention is to offer one live online Zoom meeting each week, facilitated by a member of our team.

If you wish to be a part of this, you can join our broadcast only WhatsApp group that’s meant for sharing the weekly meeting details.
